Competitive League Program
For players looking for something more challenging, look no further than our comprehensive competitive league program. This program is available to both boys and girls from the ages of 9-18. Competitive teams play other clubs across the region. Dedicated coaches guide the player's development at various levels of competitiveness from Division 1 all the way to the Ontario Youth Soccer League (OYSL). A higher level of commitment is expected as there may be some travel to tournaments. Nonetheless, the competitive program is found to be a very exciting and rewarding experience to those that want to participate at higher levels.
Game nights are determined by the League and posted on their websites;

Top Gun Program
Now in its sixth year, TOP GUN has truly become the flagship development program for the Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club. Among its graduates and participants, TOP GUN numbers many of the top youth competitive players from the National Capital area. TOP GUN is a mandatory training element within the training program of all of the Nepean Hotspurs provincial, regional and some premier teams. Ranked as one of the top 10 overall clubs in Ontario (2008 TERRA® Power Ranking), the Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club is focused on player development at all levels, and all ages. TOP GUN is a key program within the Club’s Player Development Portfolio of age appropriate training programs. In addition, as an advanced training program, TOP GUN is also a critical component in the Hotspur’s coach education and development program.
During the summer, a primary objective of TOP GUN is to implement the coaching principles, methodologies and pattern of practices adopted by Canada’s National Programs for ages15 and above, appropriately adjusted to the age of our participants. TOP GUN is also used to further the development of Nepean Hotspurs competitive coaches, providing them with the on-going opportunity to learn, perfect and implement the latest techniques and methodologies in the overall training programs of the Nepean Hotspurs elite competitive teams.
The TOP GUN teams receive 15 sessions with our dedicated TOP GUN training staff, Club Head Coach Boris Bajagic (CSA National ‘A’ License), and our TOP GUN faculty of technical coaches, assisted by the respective Team Coach. The TOP GUN faculty is fully trained to run each session of the program at the appropriate pace for each team, and each participant. Critical to the success of the program has been the player/team/coach commitment to learning. A specific TOP GUN element is also available to Hotspurs’ goalkeepers, who will be invited to participate following an evaluation by the Club Head Coach and the Hotspurs Goalkeepers Coach.
Under the leadership of Club Head Coach Boris Bajagic (CSA National ‘A’ License), the TOP GUN faculty includes Duane Barker and Kingsley Knight (CSA National ‘B’ Licensed coaches), Adam Knight (OSA Provincial 'B' License) and Nikola Brkljaca and James Lande both (OSA Provincial Pre-B). Our staff know the game, have been successful as players and coaches, and they understand that in order for our teams to find success on the field they need to have learned, mastered and perfected their individual and group skills on the practice field. Consequently, the TOP GUN staff is dedicated to providing a first class learning experience.
