Boys U9- U11 Mini Inter-Provincial Tournament (Quebec)
Girls U12-18 and Boys U12-U18 Inter-Provincial Competitive
The Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club invites you to participate in its 16th Annual Friendship Tournament to be held June 12-13, 2010 in Ottawa (Nepean), Ontario.
Teams will be registered on a first come first served basis. Participating teams are guaranteed a minimum of three (3) games. The tournament is open to club teams with players in good standing and registered in the tournament class with their respective District/Provincial Associations, Leagues, or Federations. Teams playing in an Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) Level #2 League or higher (and equivalent level teams from other provinces (such as "AA" in Quebec)) are not eligible for entry into this tournament. Teams playing in an Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) Level 3 League are eligible to apply but will only be accepted if there are sufficient teams to form a L3 age group or if they can be placed in an L4 group in a higher age group.
Competitive Outdoor U12-U18 – Up to eighteen (18) players per team can be registered to play in the Tournament. Ontario teams are allowed to include a maximum of three (3) guest players from their respective Clubs or from other Ontario Clubs (OSA Regulations). Quebec teams may also include up to three (3) guest players from their respective Clubs or from other Quebec Clubs, but they must provide the required authorization from the FQSF naming the players to be included as guests.
Mini Inter-District U9-U11 Boys divisions – This division is open to Ontario and Quebec teams. Up to fourteen (14) players in the U10-U11 age categories can be registered to play in the tournament. Teams are allowed to include a maximum of three (3) guest players from their respective Clubs or from other Ontario Clubs (OSA Regulations). Quebec teams may also include up to three (3) guest players from their respective Clubs or from other Quebec Clubs as along as they carry and produce the required authorization from the Quebec Soccer Federation (FQSF).
Out of District teams require a Travel Permit approved by their District or Provincial Associations, Leagues, or Federations and must be covered by a valid medical and liability insurance (Teams must carry and supply, no later than seven (7) days before the tournament, a valid and authenticated proof of insurance – injury and liability – before or while participating in the tournament). Teams must also carry and produce their official players' registration books/cards. Teams must provide an “Approval Confirmation Receipt” if their Travel Permit is approved online OR the original Approved Permit stamped and signed by their District prior to the start of the tournament.
Entry fees, cheque or money order, of $325 (U9-U11), $385 (U12-U18) per team should be made payable to "Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club". The closing date for applications is May 15, 2010. Teams withdrawing before midnight, June 1, 2010 will forfeit half of their entry fee. Teams will forfeit the entire entry fee if they withdraw after midnight, June 1, 2010. Cheques or money orders must be dated no later than May 15, 2010. In the event that the tournament is cancelled in its entirety, the Nepean Hotspurs will refund each team its entry fee.
If your Club or Team is interested in taking part in this Tournament, you can register on-line. The entry fee can be paid on-line, by cheque, money order, or by debit/credit at the Club Office.
Coaches and/or managers will receive confirmation of their team’s acceptance, as well as Tournament rules and other information, by email. Teams registered and other information regarding the tournament will be posted on the Hotspurs website www.hotspurs.on.ca.
The success of our tournament relies heavily on the combination of great volunteers and the partnerships established with our sponsors. Effective immediately, one of the criteria of acceptance into our tournament will be that your hotel accommodations have been secured through Hudson Travel Group.
