Registration Information

  2010 Registration Instructions

The process for registering with the Club continues to be the same as in previous years.

  • Applications will be handled on a first come, first served basis.
  • Fees are reduced for summer, “early bird”, registration forms post marked before March 31, 2010.
  • Where possible the Club will try to accommodate requests to play with friends on recreational teams only. Recreational soccer is a place to have fun and make new friends please limit any request to 1 or 2 friends.
  • Fees must be paid before a player can be registered.
  • Post-dated cheques dated after the early registration date will not be accepted for the early registration discount.
  • If a series of cheques are submitted the first cheque must be current dated and equal to 50% of the total registration fee with full payment by start of season.
  • NSF cheques are subject to a $30.00 administrative fee and must be replaced with a certified cheque, money order, or cash.
  • If a player was not previously registered with the Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club proof of birth date is required.
  • Requests for refunds must be made in writing before June 30, 2010 for summer and December 1, 2010 for winter.  An administrative charge of $25.00 will be applied to all refunds. Refund cheques will be issued after July 15, 2010 [summer] and Dec 15, 2010 [winter].

Due the Ontario Soccer Association regulations there are two different waiver forms, one for players 18 years of age and younger and one for players over 18 years of age. Consequently there are two different registration forms. Please make sure you fill out the correct form. Please read the form and explanatory notes carefully and ensure you complete all requested information. Note that children from 13-17 years of age must sign the form as well.

The “Youth Registration Form” is for all players born from 1992 to 2006.

The “Adult Registration Form” is for all players born before 1992.

The registration forms will be available on the Club website www.hotspurs.on.ca and at the Club Office during regular hours of operation. Registration forms may be mailed in or dropped off at the Club office if payment is being made by cheque or money order. Payment in cash, cheque or by credit or debit card can be made at the office.

Fees - General

Registration fees are used to operate the Soccer Club. This includes: league and team registration fees, player registrations fees, equipment and supplies, field user fees, field maintenance, referee fees, rent, professional fees, office salaries, etc. All competitive players are required to purchase the standard Club uniform kit. This includes a red and a white uniform set and 2 pairs of socks. Youth recreational players receive a full uniform set (1 jersey, 1 pair of shorts and 1 pair of socks) which is included in their registration fee.

Competitive Team Fees

In addition to general registration fees, competitive teams are required to pay additional league fees depending on the level of play. Each team will also collect team fees as outlined in the Hotspurs Academy Program. Team fees will vary depending on the number of tournaments etc. that the team participates in.

Volunteers – we need your help

The Club is run by volunteers and always needs additional help which we hope that you, as parents and friends of our players, can supply. Whether this assistance is on a regular or occasional basis, it will be appreciated and will help to ensure the continued success of the Club.
